What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is generally 3:00 PM or later, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you need something different, message us and we'll try to arrange it.
Are there extra fees on top of the nightly rate?
No — the cleaning fee and taxes are already included in the price you see. The only add-ons are extra guests beyond two and the dog fee.
How many people can stay?
Up to 6 guests. The master bedroom has a king bed and the loft has two double beds.
Can I bring my pet?
Dogs are welcome — up to 2 dogs at 50 lbs each, $20 per dog per day. Cats aren't allowed. Please read the pet policy — the property isn't fenced, and skunks live in the valley, so pets shouldn't be left outside unattended.
Is there Wi-Fi and cell service?
Yes to both. Wi-Fi is available at the guest house — the network name and password are posted inside. Cell service in the area is reliable on essentially every carrier.
How far is the house from Salt Lake City?
About an hour's drive southwest, on the far side of the Oquirrh Mountains — close enough for a day trip, far enough for real dark skies.
Where's the nearest grocery store and gas?
Basic supplies are available in nearby Tooele (about 30 minutes). We recommend stocking up before you arrive — that's part of the charm out here.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes — the refund depends on how far ahead of your check-in date you cancel:
- • 6 weeks or more before check-in — full refund, no fee.
- • 4 to 6 weeks before check-in — 75% refund.
- • 2 to 4 weeks before check-in — 50% refund.
- • 1 to 2 weeks before check-in — 25% refund.
- • Less than 1 week before check-in — no refund.
